Anya Forest is a New Zealand writer whose novels are set in New Zealand’s wild South. “Home from the Homer” and “A Doubtful Detour” are the “Fiordland Fables” time-travel books – Kiwi family adventures set in the wilderness of Fiordland, with a mix of history, time travel, animals, nature and a few life lessons along the way. These books are a mix of genres and for ages 10 and up. They’re popular with everyone - adults and children alike - who wants to immerse themselves in a good old-fashioned southern yarn – with some surprises!
Anya is also the author of two adult fiction series (Across the Strait, and Maniototo Skies) that capture the sights, wildlife, songs, and scenery of southern New Zealand. Across the Strait will take you to Stewart Island and Maniototo Skies is set in Central Otago.
